Polices and Procedures

 

We At Shutterbugs Ultrasound located at Ward Memorial Hospital strive to make your elective ultrasound procedure here the best that it can be.  We will do our best to get the best images of your baby.  Each baby will scan differently and we can make no promises that the images will always meet your expectations, we will do everything we can to get the very best images possible.

 

Our elective ultrasound does not replace your physicians’s diagnostic ultrasound.  We at Shutterbugs Ultrasound require that expectant mothers who want an elective ultrasound at our facility to have already had their first diagnostic ultrasound with their current physician or health care provider.  In regards to this, please print or pick up the following form for your doctor or health care provider to sign and then submit to us on the day of your elective ultrasound.  Prenatal Verification Form (located on the FAQ page.

 

All elective ultrasound sessions are scheduled by appointment only.  We will be able to do evening or Saturday sessions to better accommodate you and your family by by appointment only.  We offer different session packages for you to choose from that range from 20 to 45 minutes, so we ask that when making your appointment, that you have a package in mind.  This will allow us to know how much time will be needed to make your session the best experience possible.

 

We recommend that in order to provide you with the best images of your baby possible, that you stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water at least 5 days prior to your scheduled appointment.  This will help enhance and improve the quality of the ultrasound.

 

Medical insurance doe not cover elective ultrasound procedures.  We ask that you pay at the time you come in for your scheduled appointment.

 

We at Shutterbugs Ultrasound would like you to be able to share the experience with family or friends, but also make it a pleasant and comfortable one.  We recommend you invite no more than 6 guests to attend the session.

 

It is our policy here at Shutterbugs Ultrasound to give you and your family the best experience possible.  If for any reason your baby is not in the most desirable position for the session, we will be more than happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date in order to make this a lasting experience.
